I have been a licensed, practicing civil litigator since 1999. I have over 23 years of legal research and writing experience. While in law school, I clerked at various law firms and served as an associate editor on The Review of Litigation Law Journal and an officer in the Asian Law Students Association. Before starting my legal research and writing practice, I was a civil litigator with an established, mid-sized Austin, Texas litigation law firm from 1999 to 2011. I handled hundreds of cases. I took and defended depositions. I attended hearings, mediations, and trials. Having done all the “things” means I bring practical experience to the table.
My research and writing have played essential roles in winning or settling many cases. I have represented a variety of clients, from individuals to small business, to fraternities and governmental entities, in a variety of matters, from employment discrimination claims to bad faith litigation.
I started my legal research and writing practice because I truly enjoy research and writing, and I want to help other attorneys file documents they can be proud of. As a licensed attorney, I take continuing legal education classes, and I adhere to the ethics rules that govern attorneys.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, bicycling, and traveling. I have traveled to China, Tibet, Japan, Thailand, Morocco, Egypt, South Africa, Costa Rica, Belize, Peru and various places in Europe. I have competed in several sprint triathlons and have ridden twice in the MS150, a charity ride benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, riding my bicycle more than 150 miles from San Antonio to Corpus Christi on one trip, and from Houston to Austin on another trip. I am a proud and loud swim mom. I serve on the board of my daughters’ nonprofit swim team.
